Shipping/DOA Policy

Steenfott Aquatics ships live animals Monday through Wednesday with the exception of holidays. Live Plants are shipped between Monday and Friday. Shipping of live animals and plants will be halted from Dec. 11th 2019 to Jan. 12th 2020. These dates are subject to change. 

Live animals are shipped USPS priority shipping for a flat rate of $15.99

Live Plants are shipped USPS priority shipping for a flat rate of $9.99

Live arrival guaranteed on all orders that arrive during their acceptance/delivery date. If shipments are lost or delayed by the carrier, we are unable to offer any reimbursement.

In the rare occurrence of DOA's that arrive within their acceptance/delivery time. We will require *THREE CLEAR PHOTOS* of the deceased animals in the unopened bag within *ONE HOUR* of delivery. Note that some fish may appear to be dead but are just stressed from shipping. Be sure to inspect all fish carefully. 

**KNOW YOUR TEMPERATURES** Live Animal orders can *NOT* be guaranteed if the temps drop below 30°F or rise above 85°F. This includes all temperatures from the place or origin to the destination. For example, your order ships out of Seattle at 55°F, stops at North Dakota at 15°F, then arrives in Florida at 65°F. This shipment would not be covered under our live arrival guarantee. 

Partial refunds will be made if fish arrive DOA and all parameters of our DOA policy are met. For example, if you order eight fish, and one arrives dead, you take three clear photos and email them within one hour, you will be refunded in the amount of one fish. Steenfott Aquatics will *NOT* ship replacement fish in the result of a DOA. 

Any shipment routing changes on the part of the customer will result in voiding our live arrival guarantee.

Shipping Charges are non-refundable.
