Hobbyist bred high quality rainbowfish. These are descendants of wild caught fish. They are NOT farm bred wholesale fish.
Gary Lange strain of Melanotaenia Praecox "Pagai". Praecox Rainbowfish peaceful fish making them great for community aquariums. They are an active schooling fish that max out at 3 inches. We recommend a minimum of 20 gallons although the more space you give them, the more natural their behavior will be. Like most rainbowfish, Praecox have narrow throats and should not be given medium/large pellets.
